Typsnip is a Chrome extension that expands text shortcuts into formatted content. By using Typsnip you agree to these terms.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide a valid email address to create an account. If you share your account credentials with others, you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel at any time through the Account tab in the extension. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
Free tiers are provided as-is. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. If we increase the price of your current plan, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Price increases will apply at your next billing renewal after the notice period. If you do not cancel before the renewal date, continued use of Typsnip constitutes acceptance of the new price. We may change, add, or remove pricing tiers at any time without notice.
If you downgrade to a lower tier and have more shortcuts than the tier allows, shortcuts over the limit will be deactivated but not deleted. They reactivate if you upgrade again.
Typsnip stores text shortcuts and templates that you create ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for all User Content stored in your account, including any content shared across devices or team members using the same account credentials.
We do not review, monitor, or moderate User Content. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of any content created, stored, or expanded using Typsnip. You agree not to use Typsnip to store or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights.
Since Typsnip shortcuts expand text directly into third-party websites and applications, we are not responsible for any consequences resulting from the content of expanded shortcuts, including but not limited to messages sent, forms submitted, or documents created using Typsnip.
You may not use Typsnip to store or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this policy.
Your shortcuts are stored securely in Firebase Firestore. We do not read, sell, or share your shortcut content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Typsnip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that shortcuts will expand correctly in all applications and websites. Use of Typsnip is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Typsnip, its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to:
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise), even if Typsnip has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid to Typsnip in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any losses caused by service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures.
We reserve the right to discontinue Typsnip or any part of its features at any time. In the event of a full service shutdown, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days advance notice by email to registered users. Upon shutdown, paid subscribers with remaining prepaid time will be eligible for a prorated refund for the unused portion of their current billing period, at our discretion. Annual subscribers will be eligible for a prorated refund of unused months.
We are not liable for any indirect losses, loss of data, loss of business, or other damages resulting from the discontinuation of the service, beyond the prorated refund described above. We strongly recommend that you maintain your own backup copies of any shortcuts or content stored in Typsnip.
We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the extension. Continued use of Typsnip after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
